Chef de Cuisine - Established Restaurant Group

Our client, a highly reputable restaurant group with an established presence in the Delaware Valley region, is seeking a talented and experienced Chef de Cuisine to join their award-winning team. This opportunity is at a popular casual, full-service restaurant known for high-quality pub fare, steaks, and chops, with an annual revenue exceeding $4 million.

MUST-HAVE Requirements:
- Experience in Food preparation supervisory position - preferably in a locally-sourced, scratch kitchen
- Fluency in English with clear verbal and written communication skills
- Ability to stand and work for up to 8-hour shifts
- Ability to lift pots, pans, and other kitchen items up to 75 pounds
- Weekend availability is essential
- Flexibility with opening times
- Ability to commit to a typical 55-hour work week
Preferred Qualifications (Nice-to-Have):
- Formal training from a post-secondary Culinary Arts program
- Working knowledge of Spanish
Key Responsibilities:
- Supervise daily kitchen operations with a hands-on approach
- Prepare desserts, soups, entrees, and sauces; cut meat; and assist at various stations
- Assign specific duties to kitchen staff for efficient operation
- Select, train, and supervise kitchen staff in proper menu preparation
- Schedule culinary staff effectively while managing labor costs
- Ensure proper food receiving, storage, and rotation in compliance with health regulations
- Supervise daily cleaning of walk-in, reach-in boxes, and kitchen equipment
- Perform minor equipment repairs and report maintenance needs to Executive Chef and General Manager
