Job Summary: The Event Chef will be responsible for planning, preparing, and executing high-quality meals for various events, including weddings, corporate gatherings, and private parties. This role requires creativity, attention to detail, and the ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment.
Key Responsibilities:
- Collaborate with clients to create customized menus that meet their preferences and dietary needs.
- Plan and prepare meals for events, ensuring quality and presentation standards are met.
- Oversee kitchen operations during events, managing a team of kitchen staff as needed.
- Ensure all food is prepared in compliance with health and safety regulations.
- Manage inventory and order supplies as necessary.
- Work closely with event coordinators to ensure seamless execution of food service during events.
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of the kitchen and food preparation areas.
- Stay updated on culinary trends and incorporate them into menu planning.
Qualifications:
- Culinary degree or equivalent experience.
- Proven experience as a chef in an event or catering setting.
- Strong knowledge of food safety and sanitation practices.
- Excellent culinary skills, including proficiency in various cooking techniques.
- Ability to work under pressure and meet tight deadlines.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Flexibility to work evenings, weekends, and holidays as needed.
