What are the responsibilities and job description for the Part-time Solid Waste Transfer Station Attendant position at Patrick County Transfer Station?
The County of Patrick is accepting applications from qualified applicants for a part-time Solid Waste Transfer Station Attendant.
Duties of the position will include, but are not limited to, customer assistance, operation of scales, loading trailers, and facility maintenance. The preferred candidate must be capable of performing manual labor, possess good interpersonal skills, and be able to communicate effectively with the public. Basic math and clerical skills to prepare customer tickets and perform record keeping are required.
A high school diploma or GED is required. Applicants must be willing to submit to both background and drug screenings.
This is a part-time position with no benefits. Hours will be scheduled as required between 8:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m., Monday through Friday, with rotating Saturdays. Hours are limited to 29 or less per workweek.
