1st Shift Pontoon Supervisor

SUMMARY:

In the Pontoon Supervisor role, you will focus on the day-to-day manufacturing operations for all marine/pontoon furniture at Alpha Systems. You will have the responsibility to achieve productivity, efficiency, customer service, and cost, quality, and safety objectives through both individual and team contributions. Through empowerment, teamwork, on-the-job assignments, and continuous improvement projects and initiatives you will develop and support your direct reports.

· Resolves day-to-day complications in scheduling changes, equipment utilization, and personnel requirements.

· Responsible for receiving all pontoon parts.

· Responsible for quality inspecting all marine furniture prior to receiving.

· Manage pontoon/marine inventory

· Maintains a consistently safe work environment and personally demonstrates his/her commitment to safety and compliance.

· Ensures efficient coordination of processing of volume of work orders and develops and maintains a very close and effective working relationship with all other departments.

· Ensures production schedules are attained daily while meeting safety, cost and quality objectives.

· Responsible for the continuous improvement efforts that drive value added activity to better service the customer needs while impacting the bottom line.

Qualifications / Skills:

• Strong written and oral communication skills required
• Strong desire to train and coach others to improve performance
• Strong analytical/critical thinking
• Strong accountability and follow-through skills
• Ability to work effectively with a wide array of plant personnel ranging from hourly employees to senior management
• Knowledge of 5S, Lean Manufacturing is preferred.
• A high level of personal integrity (self-esteem, confidence, honesty, and
• respect) are necessary qualities.
• Self-motivated to work independently in a busy environment with changing priorities
• Working knowledge of MS Suites including Outlook, Word, and Excel
• Spanish is a plus

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: From $23.50 per hour

Expected hours: 40 per week
