This is an exciting opportunity for a medically oriented OD to join our collaborative practice. We are looking for a patient-focused, flexible optometrist with strong diagnostic skills and a passion for delivering exceptional patient experiences.
Key Responsibilities
- Provide excellent eyecare at the hospital and in village clinics
- Offer outpatient care for patients of all ages with eye-related disorders and conditions
- Document exams thoroughly in electronic health records, including anterior and posterior evaluations of the eyes, dilation when necessary, and completion of additional office procedures as required
- Prescribe medication, glasses, contact lenses, vision aids, and therapy as needed
- Consult with other healthcare practitioners for co-management of eye diseases and systemic conditions
- Refer patients to trusted specialists as needed and follow up on results and reports
- Provide patient education on proper eye care, including hygiene and safety
