A Sales Development Representative (SDR) at Patterson Pope expands our reach by generating new business opportunities using the phone and online resources. Through a combination of market research, networking, and outreach, SDRs strategically identify and engage leads and accounts, qualify and nurture them, and transition potential projects for Sales Representatives. The SDR role is the tip of the spear in producing and driving business for Patterson Pope.
Essential Duties And Responsibilities Include The Following
Work with account executives to develop and implement appropriate prospect strategies, go-to-market (GTM), and account-based marketing (ABM) tactics.

Bachelor’s degree preferred; one to two years related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
Language Skills
Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals. Ability to write routine reports and correspondence. Ability to speak effectively before groups of customers or employees of an organization.
Math Skills
Ability to calculate figures and amounts such as discounts, interest, commissions, proportions, percentages, area, circumference, and volume. Ability to apply concepts of basic algebra and geometry.
Reasoning Ability
Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out instructions furnished in written, oral, or diagram form. Ability to deal with problems involving several concrete variables in standardized situations.
Work Environment
This job is a hybrid role, operates in a remote (preferably in the Charlotte, NC area) and as well as professional office environment. This role routinely uses standard office equipment such as computers, phones, photocopiers, filing cabinets and fax machines.

- Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Business Administration, Communications, or a related field preferred.
- Minimum of 2 years of experience in business-to-business (B2B) business development strategy and execution or 2 years of sales experience.
- A proven ability to drive results, be resilient during challenging sales situations, have a customer-first mentality and a strong growth mindset.
- Specific experience with business development and demand generation strategies and tactics (including inbound marketing, conversion rate optimization, event-based and account-based marketing, social media, conversational marketing & selling, lead nurturing, and paid media) preferred.
- HubSpot (or similar marketing automation) and Salesforce (or similar CRM) experience.
- Strong technical aptitude with the ability to learn new platforms and processes quickly.
- B2B sales or marketing experience.
- Multi-approach outbound methodologies.
- Strong interpersonal skills.
- Exceptional verbal and written communication and presentation skills.
- High level of organization, attention to detail, and the ability to manage multiple priorities.
- Deep understanding and desire to help businesses grow better.
- Prospecting sales expertise.
- Experience managing the top of the sales funnel, to qualify prospects.
