POSITION SUMMARY
This position operates the shot blast operation (which includes using the shot blast hose to spray). It consists of using cranes and forklift (when needed) to load and unload the shot blast and to shoot parts in preparation for the painting operation. All metal workers operate equipment to clean and profile parts to meet job requirement.

Essential Functions Statement(s)
- Must be able to use all types of respirators.
- Must be able to operate the shot blast hose with a dispensing pressure of 110 foot pounds.
- Must be able to climb ladders and work at heights while shot blasting.
- Must be able to read, understand, and follow the instructions on routings.
- Clean and adjust equipment as needed.
- Keep work area clean. Observe equipment to ensure continuity of flow safety and efficient operations and to detect equipment malfunction.
- Must be able to safely operate overhead cranes.
- Operate forklift.
- Clean and deburr as needed.
- Must be able to shovel shot blast material as required.
- Comply with established safety policies and procedures. Wear required Personal Protective Equipment as directed. Use appropriate tools designed for their specific job tasks. Provide feedback related to hazard assessments and/or accident investigations.

Certifications & Licenses: Confined space certification training, forklift, crane operation, and any other training provided by Patterson Pump Company.
Other Requirements: Be available to work overtime as required.

Ability to stand, walk, manually manipulate, reach outward, reach above shoulder, bend, and grasp for long periods of time.
May exert up to 100 lbs. of force, lift 51-100 pounds occasionally.
WORK ENVIRONMENT
Work performed inside a closed shot blast room with employee wearing a positive flow respirator.
