Brief Description :
The Winch Truck Driver will be responsible for driving and operating a Winch Truck equipped with a single winch, to load and move frac tanks. Transport and unload oil field servicing or drilling equipment from and to various locations within the work area. This equipment is loaded and unloaded onto the truck with the use of the truck's mechanical winch. Winch Truck Drivers are also asked to assist crews during rig ups / rig downs, and other various shop duties. This position works under the direction of the Assistant Field Manager and / or Field Manager.
Detailed Description :
- Operate industrial vehicle hauling a variety of equipment related to the assembly of oil drilling rigs or heavy equipment.
- Manually or mechanically load and unload materials.
- Assist crew during rig ups / rig downs, and various shop duties.
- Properly inspect vehicle, load, and equipment to safely transport and deliver the cargo.
- Perform pre-trip inspections and post-trip inspections, such as : proper fluid level checks and service as needed; proper tire inspections; proper working condition of lights; complete documentation and reporting of any defective equipment; inspecting, reporting and maintaining proper documentation of equipment; daily signing off on post trip report, etc.
- Properly complete electronic logging device and company documentation to comply with company policies and DOT regulations, complying with all hours of service rules.
- Maintain accurate mileage and fuel reporting.
- Properly maintain the assigned vehicle and report any damage that occurs immediately.
- Comply with all Company and customer Health, Safety, and Environmental (HS&E) policies, rules, practices and guidelines.
- Conduct proper Job Safety Analysis (JSA) in compliance with Company policies.
- Regularly check equipment for any problems and safety issues on an ongoing basis.
- Wear required Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) at all designated times which could include but is not limited to : hard hat, safety glasses, FR coveralls, protective toe footwear work gloves, respirator, and hearing protection.
- Inspect safety equipment and PPE for wear and replace as needed.
- Maintain spatial orientation and awareness to safely move around work environment with many moving objects.
- Work in a heavy industrial environment which includes working around constantly moving overhead machinery, being in close proximity to loud equipment and handling potentially hazardous chemicals.
- Support other crew members by carrying supplies, ensuring compliance with safety procedures and other additional tasks as assigned.

The Winch Truck Driver must work with an emphasis on individual safety and safety for others, including coworkers and third parties. This position includes working outdoors for long periods of time in all types of weather conditions typical of the area where the job is located, including dust, humidity, sleet, snow, rain, mud, cold, heat, wind, and other inclement weather. Working conditions for this position may involve exposure to varying outdoor conditions, including environmental chemicals, gases, noise, dampness, fumes, radiation, and heights.
