Job Summary
The Designer Lead creates detailed office and laboratory designs for clients to meet architectural and structural requirements. This role provides mentorship to Office Designers, prioritizes and assigns projects for the office design team, and serves as the point of contact for the sales team.

Essential Functions
- Create 3D renderings of laboratory and office designs using office design tools (such as Autodesk Revit); ensure mechanical, electrical, and plumbing (MEP) requirements are met
- Mentor and train Office Designers and Equipment Specialists; serve as first-line support on software and process assistance regarding office design
- Provide consultation for office designs to Equipment Specialists and directly with other stakeholders as necessary
- Review sets from Office Designers, provide feedback, and make changes to final sets
- Prioritize incoming project requests; evaluate workload of designers and make recommendation to Manager to assign and shift resources on projects
- Assess department documentation, content library, and Revit families to ensure robust tools exist and propose changes/additions to Manager; create Revit families as necessary
- Collaborate with Manager on training initiatives and development of content for Design team and Equipment Specialists; provide best practices and training on current and new processes
- Comply with Company and department policies and standards; performs other duties as assigned
- Create and provide continuing education presentations at Patterson seminars for internal and external customers
- Associate's Degree in Architecture, Interior Design, Drafting, or other related field or equivalent education and/or experience
- 5 years experience in general space planning in healthcare design using Revit or similar software
- Bachelor's Degree in Architecture, Interior Design, Drafting, or other related field
- Experience with dental office space planning or equipment requirements drawing in the dental industry
- Ability to take initiative and work independently as well as work collaboratively with others
- Ability to organize priorities and assign/delegate work to others
- Strong customer service skills; solid oral and written communication skills
- Working knowledge of basic construction documents/sheet sets
- Knowledge of healthcare facility design (dental, medical, veterinary)

Salary : $58,900 - $72,200
