Chart Runner

Job Description:

We are seeking a detail-oriented and proactive individual to join our restaurant team as a Chart Runner. As a Chart Runner, you will play a vital role in ensuring the smooth and efficient operation of our establishment. Your primary responsibility will be to ensure all reservations are set on time and ensuring exceptional customer service and satisfaction.

Responsibilities:

1.        Communication: Effectively communicate with the host/hostess and servers to ensure a seamless flow. Collaborate with the serving team to manage guest expectations, accommodate special requests, and handle any order modifications promptly and efficiently.

2.        Cleanliness and Organization: Assist in maintaining a clean and organized workspace by promptly clearing and cleaning tables, returning used dishes and glassware to the kitchen, and resetting tables for the next guests. Ensure that the dining area remains clean and presentable throughout service.

3.        Customer Service: Provide exceptional customer service by promptly addressing customer inquiries, concerns, requests, determining accurate wait times based on guest flow, and taking to go orders.

4.        Collaboration: Work closely with other restaurant staff, including servers, hosts/hostesses, and kitchen personnel, to ensure efficient and smooth operations. Lead guide and direct the host/hostess staff to ensure guest satisfaction is met/maintained. Maintain the seating charts, balance restaurant sections, support the team during busy periods, assist in various tasks as needed, and maintain a positive and professional work environment.

5.        Menu Knowledge: Familiarize yourself with the restaurant's menu offerings, ingredients, and preparation methods. Stay updated on daily specials, seasonal promotions, and any changes to the menu.

6.        Health and Safety: Adhere to all health and safety regulations, including proper food handling and sanitation practices. Follow established protocols to minimize the risk of accidents or injuries in the workplace.
