Join our dynamic, audit-aware accounting team providing specialized financial services to law, architectural, and engineering firms. As a Lead Accountant, you will play a critical role in ensuring accurate financial management and providing expert insights to drive our clients’ success. You will:
- Produce accurate financial and management reports that support data-driven decision-making for our clients. Provide insights into financial performance trends and deliver actionable feedback to optimize their financial strategies.
- Reconcile balance sheet accounts and review income statement items to ensure accuracy. Proactively identify patterns and potential issues.
- Oversee and streamline multiple billing, management, and reporting systems to enhance efficiency and accuracy. Leverage technology and best practices for optimal results.
- Support and collaborate with firm managers, CFOs, and other key stakeholders to address financial needs and other responsibilities as needed.

Work Schedule Expectations
This is a full-time role requiring 40 hours per week. 30 hours should be worked between 8 a.m. and 5 p.m. Monday through Friday. The remaining 10 hours per week can be completed in the evenings, weekends, or during regular business hours. A secure, interruption-free home office setup is essential.

Education Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in accounting or finance, or
- Other four-year degree with at least 24 hours in accounting coursework, or
- Associate’s degree in accounting, with several years of experience using QuickBooks Online and overseeing financial statements.
Software Skills
- Minimum of 12 months experience using QuickBooks Online
- Experience using tools like Slack, Snagit, and Outlook
- Experience with payroll tools like Gusto, Paychex, QB Payroll or other payroll processing software
