Position Summary
The Project Manager is responsible for performing and managing simple and more extensive, complex analysis, design, and documentation on various structures. The Project Manager will also coach and mentor junior engineers and assist with department business development activities.

Essential Functions
- Assist in planning, budgeting, and scheduling the different phases of the engineering work on a project.
- Serves as lead designer.
- Assist in educating and training less experienced engineers and act as a resource for design and technical questions.
- Review drawings and documents to ensure compliance with the company QA and QC Program.
- Understand project and state stamping requirements.
- Participates in the creation and response to requests for proposals.
- Communicate with the engineering manager, team members, and clients about the status of each job and implement changes as necessary to ensure timely project completion.
- Develop solutions to challenges presented by the client within budget, schedule, and project constraints.
- Maintain a positive and professional work environment and motivate personnel to achieve results that align with the Company values.
- Attend and participate in Company meetings and client meetings.
- Actively participate in management training and professional development opportunities.
- Assist the Engineering Manager with employee performance evaluations.
- Adhere to all company policies and procedures in the current PJF Employee Policy and Procedure Manual.
Knowledge, Skills, Abilities
- Ability to communicate effectively, both verbally and in writing.
- Proficient in MS Office and company-owned software.
- Ability to manage various projects concurrently.
- Ability to work effectively under stressful situations.
- Strong understanding and knowledge of applicable codes
- Knowledge of design and analysis using various materials, including but not limited to steel, aluminum, concrete, wood, and masonry.
Minimum Qualifications
- Bachelor’s Degree in Civil or Structural Engineering from an ABET-accredited school is required.
- Valid PE License.
- Minimum of 10 years of project engineering and management experience
