Registered Nurse – Dialysis (Inpatient & Outpatient)

We are seeking a Registered Nurse to provide exceptional care in both inpatient dialysis settings within contracted healthcare organizations and outpatient dialysis settings at UW Health.

What You’ll Do:

  • Deliver Exceptional Care: Provide hemodialysis and peritoneal dialysis to patients in critical care and outpatient settings.
  • Educate and Empower: Teach patients and families about kidney disease and dialysis treatment options.
  • Collaborate Across Disciplines: Work closely with physicians, dietitians, social workers, case managers, and technicians to ensure comprehensive patient care.
  • Embrace Variety: Enjoy a dynamic role where no two days are alike, offering autonomy and personal growth.
  • Drive Quality: Participate in process improvement and quality initiatives that impact patient outcomes.
  • Work with Innovation: Use your skills in telemetry, CRRT, and acute dialysis to make a difference in a fast-paced and supportive environment.

What We’re Looking For:

  • Education & Experience:
  • At least 2 years of acute care experience within the last 3 years.
  • Hemodialysis, Peritoneal Dialysis (PD), Continuous Renal Replacement Therapy (CRRT), ICU, or Med/Surg experience is required.
  • Experience with both adult and pediatric patient populations.
  • Licensure & Certification:
  • Valid Wisconsin nursing license or compact state license.
  • BLS & ACLS certification (must be through the American Heart Association).
  • Valid driver’s license and current car insurance.
  • Specialized Skills:
  • Basic arrhythmia interpretation and ability to pass UW Health’s telemetry test (required for inpatient positions).

Job Type: Contract

Pay: $2,550.00 - $2,650.00 per week

Schedule:

  • 10 hour shift
  • Day shift

Experience:

  • Nursing: 2 years (Required)

License/Certification:

  • BLS Certification (Required)
  • RN (Required)

Ability to Commute:

  • Madison, WI 53792 (Required)

Ability to Relocate:

  • Madison, WI 53792: Relocate before starting work (Required)
