Director of Rehabilitation:
Paulding Care Center is looking to hire a full time Director of Rehabilitation to efficiently manage rehabilitation services in the Facility! With a strong emphasis on sub-acute care, post-acute care, and long-term services, transforming traditional "nursing homes" into skilled nursing and rehabilitation facilities is our fucus. We are fully committed to providing compassionate, family-oriented short and long-term rehabilitation and skilled nursing care.
Requirements of the Director of Rehabilitation:
- At minimum of a Bachelor’s Degree in rehabilitation.
- Current, unencumbered rehabilitation therapist license required.
- Three (3) years’ experience in a rehabilitative nursing practices and one (1) years’ experience as a supervisor in a hospital, nursing care facility, or other related health care facility at minimum required.
- Thorough knowledge of Medicare and third party billing.
- Must be knowledgeable of regulations governing rehabilitation services in nursing care facilities.
- Must possess leadership ability and willingness to work harmoniously with and supervise other personnel.
- Must possess the ability to seek out new methods and principles and be willing to incorporate them into existing rehabilitation services.
- Must be able to relate information concerning a resident’s condition.
- Must successfully complete a post offer, pre-employment criminal background check and physical.
Responsibilities of the Director of Rehabilitation:
- The Director of Rehabilitation is responsible for the highest standard of rehabilitation services is being delivered and maintained to the Facility’s residents.
- Plan, develop, organize, implement, evaluate, and direct the rehabilitation services of the Facility.
- Keep abreast of current federal and state regulations, as well as professional standards of practice, and make recommendations on changes in policies and procedures to the Administrator.
- Operationally manage Rehabilitation Department personnel and consultants within the Facility.
- Consult with therapists and/or Regional Rehabilitation Director with all clinical assessment matters related to patients.
- Refer resident and families to appropriate personnel, as needed, to meet resident and family needs.
- Assume responsibility for hiring therapy staff in conjunction with the Administrator and Regional Director.
- Make written and oral reports and recommendations to the Administrator concerning the operation of the Rehabilitation Department.
- Keep abreast of economic conditions and situations and recommend to the Administrator adjustments in rehabilitation services that assure the continued ability to provide such services.
- Review and develop a plan of correction for rehabilitation deficiencies noted during survey inspections and provide a written copy of such report to the Administrator.
- Review departmental complaints and grievances from personnel and make written reports to the Administrator of action(s) taken. Follow Facility’s established procedures.
- Develop, implement, and maintain an ongoing quality assurance program for the Rehabilitation Department.
- Meet with administration, medical, and nursing staff, as well as other related departments in planning rehabilitation programs.
