What are the responsibilities and job description for the Shipping / Driver Associate position at Paumac Tubing Llc?
Summary/Objective:
The shipping / driver associate position verifies and keeps records on incoming and outgoing shipments and prepares items for shipment by performing the following duties to quality and productivity standards.
Essential Functions:
- Supports the shipment of goods produced and the received goods and supplies to be used in or to aid in the production/storage of goods destined for sale to our customer
- Reports defective materials or questionable conditions to the department lead
- Required to make pick-ups and deliveries to our suppliers for parts and raw materials using a company vehicle
- Accurately and efficiently process, package, and ship orders
- Appropriately receive, unload and place incoming inventory items. Examines, rejects damaged items, records shortages, and corresponds with shipper to rectify damages and shortages.
- Organize the warehouse and maintain a safe and productive environment
- Check, verify and fill customer invoices to ensure accuracy
- Operate lift trucks or hand trucks to convey, move or hoist materials to proper department or areas
- Transport finished goods and raw materials
- Performs all computer functions necessary to track various aspects of products
- Maintain equipment in a condition that does not compromise safety
- Ensure work is done safely, consistently and meets quality standards
- Accurately complete all required paperwork in a timely manner
- Communicate with other departments as necessary
- Keep work areas clean and organized
- Adhere to all company rules and policies
- Performs other related duties as assigned by supervisor
