Job Summary:
As the Patient Care Coordinator, you will work closely with all of the practice staff to provide high quality patient care and ensure the office runs smoothly and efficiently. This is a full time position responsible for working with new patients and those early on in their treatment journey. The ideal candidate is a high energy, positive, outgoing, people person with fantastic communication skills. Responsibilities include:
- Welcomes all patients and guests to the clinic in such a way as to promote a positive, welcoming environment.
- Demonstrates professionalism and promotes positive interactions with all internal and external business contacts, representing the practice in a favorable light.
- Communicates in person and by phone with patients.
- Manages high stress situations calmly and appropriately. Recognizes critical situations and responds effectively to minimize impact on customer satisfaction.

Preferred Qualifications include:
- Undergraduate degree preferred. High school diploma with a minimum of 3 years of healthcare experience will be considered in lieu of degree.
- Minimum 3 years of healthcare experience required.
- Experience in behavioral health, substance use disorder, or mental health settings preferred
- Excellent communication skills; ability to communicate professionally and effectively both orally and in writing are required.
- Must be detail oriented, conscientious and able to follow through.
- Proficient personal computer skills, including Microsoft Office products Excel and Word.
- Fluency in English required. Fluency in Spanish preferred.
- Experienced with information technology and electronic medical record systems required.
- Must be able to work in US legally.
Working conditions:
This is a full time hourly position located in our Gastonia, NC office. Travel between offices may be needed, but very infrequently. The workplace is a medical office.
Physical requirements:
Must be able to remain in stationary position for most of the work day. Ability to use computer, phone, and other office technology equipment is required.
