Key Responsibilities π
- Independently perform complex troubleshooting and repairs on medical and dental laser systems while following established procedures
- Provide on-site installations, preventive maintenance, and repair services for customers throughout New England and across the United States
- Instruct customers and staff on equipment operation and applications
- Submit timely and accurate service reports, timesheets, expense reports, and required paperwork
- Self-manage workload to meet customer needs promptly and efficiently
- Ensure compliance with applicable FDA regulations
- Handle customer needs effectively, accurately, and promptly in a professional manner
- Collaborate with team members across departments to maintain a positive work environment
- Represent the company professionally in all customer and vendor interactions
Qualifications π
- Associate's or Technical Degree required; Bachelor's Degree preferred
- Education or experience in photonics, electronics, biomedical engineering, or similar fields
- Customer service and/or field service experience is highly valued
- Clear communication skills with an excellent command of English
- Exceptional attention to detail and documentation skills
- Natural technical aptitude and ability to follow technical documentation
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office applications
- Ability to work both independently and as part of a team
- Willingness to travel up to 75% of the time throughout New England (primarily Boston area)
- Ability to work flexible hours, including occasional evenings and weekends
- Physical capabilities to lift up to 50 lbs, with occasional heavier lifting, and maneuver equipment

Location & Work Arrangement ποΈ
This position is based in the Boston area, where approximately 90% of the service work is located. The engineer will use their personal vehicle for local travel (with car allowance provided).
