What are the responsibilities and job description for the National Construction Project Manager position at Pavement Solutions?
Summary
The National Project Manager is a position that requires communication skills, flexibility, organization, and more. The National Project Manager will work closely with the operations team to ensure asphalt and concrete paving, maintenance, and repair projects run smoothly from start to finish. This position reports to the Director of Construction. Occasional travel will be a part of this position’s duties. This is a hybrid role, with our office in Richmond, IL being the home base.
Essential Functions
- Manage select national projects by collecting documentation, review all reports and photos submitted, etc.
- Manage, approve, and process change order requests
- Approve invoice amounts and manage the percent complete report on projects
- Communicate with subcontractors regularly to manage construction projects from the Pavement Solutions office
- Communicate with onsite superintendents regularly to ensure required reporting is being completed and collected
- Communicate with various project vendors when needed
- Communicate with customers and provide effective customer service
- Learn and navigate customer portals to help with administrative tasks such as invoicing, purchase orders, change orders, etc.
- Update the CRM to reflect accurate and reportable data for ongoing projects
- Occasionally assist in bidding events when required
- Gather close-out documents and create close-out packages when needed
- Encourage process improvements to streamline projects and programs
