Job Summary
We are seeking a dedicated and experienced Forman to oversee construction projects from inception to completion. The ideal candidate will possess strong leadership skills, a comprehensive understanding of construction management for in-house and subcontractors, and the ability to effectively manage project schedules and budgets.
Duties
- Supervise daily operations on the construction site, ensuring that all activities align with project specifications and timelines.
- Manage project scheduling to ensure timely completion of tasks while adhering to safety regulations and quality standards.
- Coordinate with subcontractors, suppliers, and team members to facilitate smooth workflow and communication.
- Conduct regular site inspections to monitor progress, identify potential issues, and implement corrective actions or solutions as needed.
- Utilize construction estimating techniques to prepare accurate budgets and forecasts for projects.
- Read and interpret blueprints to guide construction activities and ensure adherence to design specifications.
- Maintain detailed records of project activities, including daily logs, material usage, and labor hours.
Requirements
- Proven experience in a supervisory role within the construction industry.
- Strong knowledge of construction management principles, including budgeting and project scheduling.
- Excellent blueprint reading skills with the ability to translate plans into actionable tasks on-site.
- Strong leadership abilities with a focus on team collaboration and effective communication.
