Title: Junior Varsity Boys Golf Coach
Job Location: Paw Paw High School
Reports To: Athletic Director
Job Type: 2024/2025 Season Contract
Minimum Qualifications:
· Must possess high school diploma
· Extensive experience with the game golf
· Cap 1 and/or Cap 2 certification
· First Aid and CPR certified
· Must be able to coordinate and teach golf curriculum to build a competitive varsity golf program
· Strong personal and social skills, with the ability to effectively communicate using a variety of media
Preferences:
· Successful past coaching experience
· Experience of willingness to organize and assist with home meets at the high school level
· Possess knowledge of the MHSAA rules and regulations
· Willing to build meaningful positive relationships with staff and student body
· Possess the ability to motivate players and coaches to work toward program and philosophy goals
Job Description:
· Coordinate in-season and out-of-season practice and conditioning opportunities for grades 9-12
· Develop program philosophy and curriculum that builds upon itself from grades 9-12
· Develop cohesive coaching relationships that works to develop all players from grades 9-12
· Teach and instruct the game of golf, while working to develop and emphasize positive character traits in all athletes
· Provide coaching, encouragement, and guidance to all athletes in the program
Salary/Benefits: Per VBCEA/PPEA, MEA‐NEA contract Schedule C
