The Role You Play
The HR Business Partner oversees all internal and external recruiting for the entire organization supervising one HR Coordinator and provides support to leaders in matters of organizational structure, development, and employee relations. They are responsible for helping leaders align their actions and departments to the strategic vision of the agency. The HRBP is also responsible for employee relations matters including investigations, ADA accommodations, and assisting with leadership development as needed.
- Partner with senior leadership to align HR strategies with organizational goals.
- Provide insights and recommendations to improve organizational performance and employee engagement.
- Serve as a primary point of contact for employee relations issues, conducting investigations and resolving conflicts.
- Foster a positive work environment through proactive engagement and communication.
- Develop and implement recruitment strategies to attract, hire, and retain top talent.
- Oversee onboarding processes to ensure a smooth transition for new hires.
- Facilitate talent development programs, including performance reviews, career pathing, and succession planning.
- Ensure compliance with federal, state, and local employment laws and regulations.
- Develop, implement, and update HR policies and procedures.
- Conduct regular audits to ensure adherence to policies and compliance requirements.
- Assist in the design and administration of compensation programs.
- Conduct market research to ensure competitive compensation practices.
- Identify training needs and develop programs to enhance employee skills and competencies.
- Coordinate and facilitate training sessions, workshops, and seminars.
- Develop and track key HR metrics to assess the effectiveness of HR programs and initiatives.
- Prepare and present reports on HR activities, trends, and metrics to senior management.
- Support organizational change initiatives, ensuring effective communication and employee engagement.
- Develop strategies to manage and mitigate the impact of change on employees
- Promote a diverse and inclusive workplace culture.
- Support managers in the performance review process, providing guidance on setting goals and providing feedback.
- Address performance issues and develop action plans for improvement.
- Conduct employee engagement surveys and develop action plans based on feedback.
- Organize and participate in employee engagement activities and events.
- Perform Human Resources clerical duties as needed.
- Review and comply with the Pawnee Code of Conduct outlined in the Employee Handbook
- Perform all other reasonably related duties as assigned by immediate supervisor or other management personnel.
Required:
- High School Diploma or equivalent
- Two years of Human Resources experience
- Organized with excellent communication skills both oral and written using the English language
- Attention to detail and ability to maintain confidentiality and professionality
Preferred:
- Customer service experience
- Supervisory experience
- Related post-secondary education or experience with Human Resources Information Systems (HRIS)
- Related post-secondary education or experience with Microsoft Office Suite
