The Role You Play
The Mental Health Supervisor is responsible for providing administrative and clinical oversight for our outpatient therapists and interns within their assigned offices. They will work alongside the 2 other supervisors, the Director of Therapy Services, and all other members of management to facilitate the deliver of quality evidence based clinical services to all of our clients.
- Hire, train, supervise and evaluate a qualified staff and ensure they are properly licensed, credentialed and trained to carry out their responsibilities.
- Participate with Director in program planning and problem solving to promote client satisfaction and program growth.
- Demonstrate sensitivity to all cultural and ethnic differences.
- Travel to satellite offices within assigned region as needed to ensure continuity of operations and community relationships.
- Participate in community activities that promote awareness of behavioral health issues.
- Serve on committees and work groups as requested.
- Maintain a clinical case load at a level established by Director.
- Provide clinical supervision to staff toward independent licensure as able.
- Collect and analyze complex data and information regarding caseloads, level of care, and length of stay within department.
- Monitor CCBHC and CMHC compliance regulations to ensure agency meets state requirements.
- Maintain and advance knowledge and skills related specifically to position or to field of work through regular review of pertinent materials or participation in training events as approved by supervisor.
- Perform all other reasonably related duties as assigned by immediate supervisor or other management personnel.
Required:
- Master’s degree in Counseling, Marriage & Family Therapy, Psychology, Social Work or related field.
- Current, active, unencumbered license to practice independently as an LCPC, LCP, LCMFT, LP, or LSCSW.
- One year leadership, supervisory or management experience.
- Two years of experience providing psychotherapy in a CMHC/CCBHC or similar health care environment.
- Strong interpersonal skills.
- Strong ability to manage time and prioritize tasks.
- Ability to effectively utilize Microsoft Office Suite, especially Teams.
All employees will be required to submit to and pass a background check and drug screening.
Preferred:
- Experience providing clinical supervision strongly preferred
