Solids Control Technician/Solid Waste Landfill

PAWNEE WASTE LANDFILL LOCATED IN GROVER, CO IS HIRING.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Ensure Health and Safety is the number one goal by following policies, processes, and always acting in a safe manner
• Repair, troubleshoot, maintain, set up and rig down fluids control equipment
• Service and maintain fluids control equipment on a weekly basis
• Follow proper sampling procedures
• Complete all required paperwork daily
• Communicate with customers, supervisors & co-workers in a professional manner
• Operate heavy equipment (loaders, excavators, and forklifts)
• Perform other duties and tasks as assigned by operations management

MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS:

• Experience in fluids control field or similar mechanical experience, to be able to identify potential mechanical problems
• Possess a satisfactory driving record & current driver’s license
• Must be able to pass background check, pre-employment physical, and substance abuse testing
• Must be able to operate or, be trained to operate heavy equipment such as loader in a safe manner
• Must be able to operate or, be trained to operate existing fluids control line of equipment and or any new fluids control technology introduced to the market

WORKING CONDITIONS/PHYSICAL DEMANDS:

• The position requires daily work at a landfill site located in Grover, CO, in various climactic conditions, ranging from extreme cold to extreme heat.
• There is a risk of exposure to dust, and potentially toxic materials.
• Fluids control processors must wear all assigned personal protective equipment and maintain same in proper condition for use.
• The position may require occasional overtime or irregular hours on short notice.

COMPENSATION AND BENEFITS:

The successful candidate will be required to pass a drug screen, background check, and physical exam after an offer has been extended and prior to being employed.

Pay: $21.00 - $28.00 per hour

Expected hours: No less than 40 per week
