Duties & Responsibilities: Community outreach program interns engage in a variety of responsibilities under the supervision of PAWS Chicago staff. Intern responsibilities include but are not limited to:

Qualifications
Requirements
- Passion for animals and belief in our mission to create a No Kill Chicago.
- Ability to remain on feet for long periods of time and perform physical tasks that include but are not limited to climbing, bending, stooping, kneeling, twisting, reaching, crawling, holding, and lifting.
- Excellent written and verbal communications, with the ability to represent the mission, goals, policies, and core values of PAWS Chicago in a sincere and energetic manner.
- Ability to adapt, work collaboratively with a team, and solve problems proactively.
- Organizational skills.
- Commitment to a high level of customer service.
- Basic computer skills, including e-mail and Microsoft Office.
- Previous experience performing animal care activities is desirable.
Intern schedule:
- PAWS Chicago requires that interns complete 12-20 hours per week over the course of a typical (3-6 month) semester for a minimum of 100 hours on the job.
- Schedules and work accommodations will be discussed individually.
- This position is based out of the Medical Center (3516 W. 26th Street Chicago, IL 60623) with time spent in Englewood and Back of the Yards.
