Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Veterinarian to join our amazing team! We run only 3 days a week (T/W/Th), allowing you the perfect life/work balance of four days off! Even with this great schedule, you will make an amazing living with great pay and benefits! Our team is the best! Highly trained, very efficient, multiple vets that have come and worked relief for us state that we have one of the best teams they have ever worked with! We are not just the routine vaccine or spay/neuter mobile clinic! We provide full medical care to the pets of our community, with wellness and preventative medicine; physical exams and diagnostics such as in-house labs, referral labs, in-house cytology, digital radiology and ultrasound; and last, but not least, surgeries and dentals with two surgical tables, dental wet tablet with dental digital radiology. We are a full service clinic on wheels! We practice true medicine and want someone as passionate as we are about helping our community!
Responsibilities
- Conduct thorough examinations of animals to assess their health and diagnose any medical conditions.
- Work with technicians to develop treatment plans and communicate to clients the options.
- Perform surgeries as necessary, utilizing aseptic techniques.
- Administer vaccinations and medications, ensuring proper dosages and methods.
- Provide guidance to pet owners on nutrition, behavior, and preventive care.
- Maintain accurate medical records using veterinary terminology and documentation practices.
- Collaborate with veterinary technicians and support staff to ensure high-quality patient care.
- Stay current with advancements in veterinary medicine through continuous education and training.
- Handle animals safely and effectively, demonstrating expertise in animal handling techniques.
Qualifications
- Doctor of Veterinary Medicine (DVM) degree from an accredited institution.
- Valid veterinary license to practice in the state of employment.
- Strong knowledge of animal physiology, anatomy, and common veterinary procedures including animal catheterization.
- Experience with laboratory diagnostics and pet grooming is preferred but not required.
- Excellent communication skills for interacting with pet owners and team members.
- Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail.
- A genuine love for animals and commitment to their well-being.
