The CEO position at PAWS offers a variety of responsibilities, requiring a balance of internal oversight and external engagement, with the goal of furthering the organization's mission and ensuring its stability. Reporting to the 23-member Board of Directors, the Chief Executive Officer will manage this organization with an operating budget of approximately $9 million, staff of 90 during high season, a large active volunteer base, and a committed and impactful group of donors. The CEO serves a key role in fundraising, engaging with major donors and cultivating relationships to secure financial support.
The salary range for this position annually is between $190,000 and $235,000 and will be commensurable with experience. The comprehensive benefits package includes health, dental, vision, employee assistance program, group life insurance, long-term disability insurance, and pet supplies at a discounted price. PAWS benefits also include a 403(b) pre-tax retirement plan and ROTH post-tax retirement plan with company match and company contribution. PAWS is a Public Service Loan Forgiveness qualified employer. PAWS observes ten paid holidays each year and offers Paid Time Off as well as Sick Leave, and Bereavement Time Off - for family and pets.
