Job Summary:
The Community Outreach Coordinator is responsible for developing and implementing strategies to connect with the community, build partnerships, and promote our organization's mission and programs. This involves cultivating relationships with key stakeholders, organizing outreach events, managing social media presence, and creating engaging content.
Responsibilities:
- Community Engagement: Develop and implement outreach strategies to connect with diverse community groups, organizations, and individuals.
- Relationship Building: Build and maintain strong relationships with community partners, stakeholders, and potential supporters.
- Event Planning & Coordination: Plan, organize, and execute community outreach events, workshops, and presentations.
- Marketing & Communications: Create and manage engaging content for social media, website, newsletters, and other communication channels. Maintain consistent branding and messaging.
- Public Relations: Represent the organization at community events and build positive relationships with media outlets.
- Volunteer Coordination: Recruit, train, and manage volunteers for outreach activities and events. (If applicable)
- Data Collection & Reporting: Track outreach activities, gather data on community engagement, and prepare reports on program effectiveness.
- Collaboration: Work closely with other team members to integrate outreach efforts with overall organizational goals.
- Budget Management: Manage the budget allocated for outreach activities. (If applicable)
- Resource Development: Identify and explore potential funding opportunities and partnerships to support outreach initiatives. (If applicable)
- **Other duties as assigned.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Communications, Marketing, Public Relations, Social Work, or a related field preferred. Relevant experience may be substituted for a degree.
- Proven experience in community outreach, engagement, or a related field.
- Excellent communication, interpersonal, and presentation skills.
- Strong organizational and time-management skills.
- Proficiency in social media platforms and content creation.
- Experience with event planning and coordination.
- Ability to work with diverse populations.
- Strong commitment to the organization's mission and values.
