What are the responsibilities and job description for the Accounting Clerk position at Pax Properties?
Pax Properties is seeking an experienced Accounting Clerk to join our team. The Accounting Clerk will support the Accounting Manager and nine properties to accurately process and record financial transactions for the company.
Duties/Responsibilities:
- Download and enter debit receipts into accounting software
- Monitor and reconcile daily sales reports for accuracy
- Enter invoices into accounting software
- Maintain company vendor information including insurance certificates and W-9 forms
- Mail out checks and file payment records
- Reconcile bank accounts daily/weekly
- Reconcile credit card statements
- Calculate and enter sales and occupancy taxes to be paid
- Support information gathering during audits
- Assist with month/year end closings
- Additional duties as assigned
Skills:
- Solid understanding of basic accounting principles GAAP guidelines
- Proven ability to calculate, post and manage accounting figures and financial records
- Excellent data entry skills along with a knack for numbers
- Ability to maintain strict confidentiality of all work data
- Proficiency in Excel/MS Office/Google Suite
- High degree of accuracy and attention to detail
Education and/or Experience Requirements:
- At least 2-3 years of experience working in accounting required
- Experience with M3 or Entrata (preferred)
- AA in business/finance/accounting (preferred)
