LCDAC Provider / Group Facilitator

Job Summary
The Group Facilitator plays a crucial role in leading and managing group sessions aimed at supporting individuals with various needs, including those with developmental disabilities. This position requires a compassionate and skilled professional who can create a safe and engaging environment for participants. The Group Facilitator will utilize therapeutic techniques, including group therapy and art therapy, to foster personal growth, enhance social skills, and promote overall well-being.

Responsibilities

• Lead and facilitate group therapy sessions, ensuring a supportive atmosphere for all participants.
• Develop and implement engaging activities that promote interaction and personal development.
• Conduct assessments to evaluate the needs of group members and tailor sessions accordingly.
• Maintain accurate medical records and documentation of participant progress.
• Collaborate with other professionals, such as case managers and crisis management teams, to provide comprehensive support.
• Utilize applied behavior analysis techniques to address specific behavioral challenges within the group setting.
• Engage in research to stay updated on best practices in group facilitation and therapeutic approaches.
• Provide guidance and support to individuals facing crises or challenging situations.

Skills

• Proficiency in group therapy techniques and methodologies.
• Knowledge of coding practices related to medical records and case management.
• Experience in art therapy as a tool for expression and healing.
• Strong crisis management skills to effectively handle emergencies or sensitive situations.
• Familiarity with working with individuals with developmental disabilities in various settings, including hospitals or community programs.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to foster positive relationships within the group.
• Ability to conduct research to enhance therapeutic practices and improve participant outcomes.

Job Types: Part-time, Contract

Pay: $45.07 - $52.28 per hour

Expected hours: No more than 20 per week
