This individual will serve to reduce overall IT costs and mitigate business and financial risk related to Paycom’s ownership and use of IT Assets. They will strive to improve IT asset management processes, optimize IT’s asset portfolio, and increase the agility of IT operations. They will collaborate closely with various Paycom departments on planning, budgeting, and other strategic decision-making processes.RESPONSIBILITIESFollow Paycom IT procurement processes to engage vendors, negotiate contracts, make purchases, and receive software and / or hardware goods and professional servicesCollaborate closely with Paycom legal and accounting departments to review contracts and execute spend against budget(s) on any IT purchasesRegularly utilize CMDB to track asset lifecycles and inventory of both hardware and software assetsRegularly report and update business owners and stakeholders on the status of procurement requests and estimated delivery time framesMonitor software license usage and identify areas of under / over utilization to remediate substantial gaps or issuesOn board new Paycom vendorsEnsure that license and maintenance renewals are completed within the predefined deadlinesRegularly report on hardware and software inventories or create and maintain internal tools for customers to consume accurate and reliable IT asset informationUtilize a skillset similar to an entry level IT systems administrator to add servers, software, network and storage devices to inventory systems utilizing protocols such as SNMP or similarRegularly identify cost avoidance opportunities and follow through to capitalize on those opportunities to realize a positive net return for PaycomEnsure Paycom stays compliant in regards to use rights or legal terms and conditionsCreate and update IT asset information in ITAM systemLead and manage software license reconciliation and re harvesting projects on a regular basisProduce reports to satisfy internal and external audit requestsDocumentation and reporting responsibilities : Creation of Internal process documentation including diagramsCreation of purchase ordersCreation of new vendorsCreation of Effective License Position (ELP) reportsCreation of Asset inventory reportsCreation of Cost forecasting reportsCreation of other IT asset related reportsMiscellaneous : Attend meetings and serve on committees, as requestedMeet with executive level stakeholders as neededPerform additional duties and assignments as requestedQualificationsEducation / Certification : Bachelor’s degree in Management Information Systems, Business Administration, Supply Chain Management, Computer Science or related disciplineExperience : 2 years total combined IT experience1 years of relevant IT experience1 years of relevant analyst experience (inventory management, warehouse, supply chain, procurement, purchasing, accounting or similar)PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONSEducation / Certification : IAITAM certification(s) such as CAMP, CSAM, CHAMP, CITAMLean Six Sigma certification(s)PMI certification(s)Skills / Abilities : Must have a basic understanding of legal principles and terminologyMust have a basic understanding of accounting principles and terminologyMust have a basic understanding of ITAM concepts and key process areasCan effectively negotiate vendor contracts on behalf of PaycomMust have a skillset, that is at minimum, equivalent to an entry level Desktop Administrator in regards to understanding concepts in that field (software installation / networking / security, etc.)Must have a skillset, that is at minimum, equivalent to an entry level Systems Administrator in regards to configuring and maintaining general business applications and the underlying operating system environmentMust demonstrate strong math, analytical, and interpersonal skills required to successfully work in a team environment and communicate effectively across a variety of stakeholder groups.Excellent written and verbal communication skillsCan easily adapt and learn new software systems and technologyMust demonstrate a commitment to continuous learning and mentoringCan Interpret and apply laws, regulations, policies and proceduresMust possess proficiency in MS Office applications (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook, Visio)Can work flexible hours, including weekends and eveningsPaycom is an equal opportunity employer and prohibits discrimination and harassment of any kind.
