Description
The heart of Paycom is the Product Department, a driving force committed to speed, precision and excellence throughout the Product Management Life Cycle. The department ensures both the structured visibility of product road maps across the business and the cultivation of customer-centric culture. Within this framework, Paycom’s product solutions are organized into portfolios and groups, each comprising product leaders, managers and analysts.
The primary purpose of the Instructional Designer is to create engaging and effective educational materials and learning experiences for our Paycom clients deployed through Paycom’s LMS product. This role involves collaborating with subject matter experts to design and implement instructional content that meets the learning needs of our audience, ensuring alignment with educational objectives and organizational goals.
RESPONSIBILITIES
- Develop engaging and effective learning content that meet business needs, learning objectives and needs of our audience
- Utilize a variety of instructional design models and methodologies to create diverse learning experiences
- Design e-learning content that is usable and easily understood by various audiences
- Build e-learning content while maintaining the defined workflow
- Interface with stakeholders involved in the content development process
- Balance the needs of stakeholders while setting product expectations and advocating on behalf of the learner / client
- Analyze data, feedback, industry trends, competitive intelligence and business needs to determine project needs
- Maintain Paycom's standard of quality across all learning content
- Manage project documentation and report progress according to team project management standards
- Review peers’ work and provide appropriate, actionable feedback
- Use Paycom's LMS product to upload and deploy material and provide recommendations for improvements to the LMS product
- Learn and gain subject matter expertise in Paycom’s LMS product, reporting, content file types and how clients use the product to provide solutions
