Job Description Summary :

The Strategic Sourcing Manager II is accountable for developing, managing and executing the sourcing strategy for Technology categories of spend (such as Hardware, Software, Cloud based solutions, Storage, Telecom and Infrastructure). This individual will work closely with business units to manage sourcing strategies that drive significant value and impact for the BU operations and profitability. They will set the direction for the category area, building both, short / medium and long-term opportunities to drive sourcing excellence. PayPal Technology Strategic Sourcing oversees over $1Billion in global technology spend. We partner closely with the Technology business teams to minimize risk and maximize value through Strategic Sourcing and value optimization. This team is part of the Global Strategic Sourcing organization in Finance.

Key Responsibilities

• Work with the BUs and senior leadership to understand strategic direction, demand requirements and business objectives and priorities.
• Drive thought leadership in the category providing market and industry intelligence, trends, innovation and best practices.
• Drive analysis of category spend to identify opportunities to reduce total category spend utilizing all savings levers. Develop business cases to substantiate opportunities and prioritization.
• Develop and execute sourcing strategies and plans.
• Develop supplier negotiation strategies that reflect and maximize PayPal's buying power, focus on service quality / performance, and minimize risk exposure.
• Assist BUs manage in-category strategic supplier relationships.
• Interact with all levels of management, including senior management, and stakeholders including Finance, Legal, Accounting, and suppliers to ensure strategic direction, operational and quality goals are achieved.
• Ability to build, maintain, and grow relationships with internal business partners while earning their trust
