Position Overview
We are looking for an experienced Paralegal based in the Jacksonville, FL office to join Paysafe and create an impact to our payments landscape. The ideal candidate will bring paralegal experience in a related role and corporate company knowledge, along with a strong desire to build and make an impact in a high growth and unstructured environment. This role offers a hybrid working environment.
Your responsibilities would include:
- Support corporate governance functions, including entity management and corporate record-keeping.
- Draft, review, and manage standard form legal contracts, correspondence, and corporate documents.
- Assist with the negotiation and revision of agreements in collaboration with internal stakeholders and legal counsel.
- Maintain and update legal templates, contract repositories, and other document management systems.
- Conduct legal research on regulations affecting U.S. and Canadian financial services industries.
- Work closely with internal teams (compliance, finance, risk, operations, and HR) to provide legal support.
- Work with outside counsel and agents as needed.
Requirements:
- Bachelor’s degree preferred; will also consider relevant experience in lieu of the degree
- Paralegal Certification is considered a plus
- 5 years of Paralegal support experience
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced team environment
- Proficient in advising and interacting with senior executives and business unit leaders
- Ability to work closely with, facilitate interactions within, and influence large cross-functional teams (including representatives from legal, tax, finance, regulatory, compliance, operations, human resources, and communications)
- Agility in managing multiple projects in an efficient and timely manner
- Outstanding verbal and written communication skills, and attention to detail
- Superior drafting and organizational skills
