Veterinary Technician

Payson Family Pet Hospital is looking for an experienced Veterinary Technician to join our team! We are an 10-doctor, AAHA-Accredited, small animal hospital in Payson, Utah.

Individuals with 1 years of prior veterinary experience and excellent communication skills are highly encouraged to apply.

This is a full-time or part-time role comprised of 10 hours shifts M-Sat.

• Ability to stand on your feet for extended periods of time
• Willingness to jump in and help where needed
• Experience with Avimark is a plus, but not required
• Must be able to lift at least 40 lbs

Responsibilities include but are not limited to:

• Anesthetic induction
• Anesthesia monitoring
• Surgical preparation and assistance
• Dental prophy
• Digital radiology
• Patient handling and restraint
• Blood draws
• IV catheter placement
• Suture wounds and incisions
• Pharmacy duties
• Lab work
• Drug calculations
• Outpatient procedures
• Microscopic evaluation
• Administer vaccines, injections, and medications
• Client communication and education
• Welcoming and discharging patients
• Over-the-counter sales
• General front desk duties

• Competitive pay: $15-$19/hour (based on experience)
