What are the responsibilities and job description for the Family Outreach Advocate position at PB&J Family Services Inc.?
Duties
- Provide support and advocacy services to families in need
- Conduct assessments to determine the needs of families and develop individualized service plans
- Collaborate with community resources and agencies to ensure families receive necessary support
- Assist families in navigating the child welfare system and accessing appropriate services
- Provide crisis intervention and conflict management when necessary
- Advocate for the rights and well-being of children and families
- Monitor progress and make recommendations for adjustments to service plans as needed
-Caseload of 6-15 families
-Transportation of children and families.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in social work or related field
- Experience working with children and families, preferably in a child welfare setting
- Knowledge of child protective services and child welfare policies and procedures
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to handle crisis situations and provide effective crisis management
- Knowledge of behavioral health principles and interventions
- Familiarity with childcare resources and services in the community
