What are the responsibilities and job description for the Permit Coordinator position at pb2 architecture + engineering?
pb2 architecture engineering is looking for an outgoing, self-motivated individual to join the firm’s permitting team. The right candidate will be a successful multitasker who is comfortable managing multiple projects at once, while being a liaison between the firm, the client, and jurisdictions around the country. Members of the permitting team have excellent professional communication skills and are responsible for tracking project schedules and reporting information to teams both in and out of house. Candidates should be proficient in Outlook, Word and Excel. This is a full time, salaried position working in our offices located in beautiful Northwest Arkansas.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:
1. Act as liaison between pb2, our clients & multiple state and local jurisdictions.
2. Update and maintain project information in pb2/client systems as assigned.
3. Research online and make phone calls to state and local jurisdictions.
4. Coordinate submittals to reviewing agencies.
5. Required travel will be rare but is a possibility.
NECESSARY SKILLS:
Familiarity with construction process and required permits.
Ability to prioritize duties and stay on task.
Ability to work within a team to accomplish assigned duties.
Excellent professional communication skills
Outstanding attention to detail and data entry accuracy.
Proficient in Outlook, Word, and Excel.
SCHEDULE:
Monday –Friday, 8:00 AM – 5:00 PM, one hour lunch from 12:00 – 1:00 PM. Occasional hours greater than 40 per week may be required.

Physical Activity Level:
This is a low physical activity position, performing non-strenuous daily activities at a desk. It requires frequent typing and operating a computer for long periods of time but we do offer work stations that raise and lower at the touch of a button, so that you can sit or stand as you prefer. Occasional light lifting may be required, generally less than 20 lbs. Occasional air travel or driving to project sites may be required.
