CNC Machine Operator (Lathe)-
Job Description
We are seeking a skilled and detail-oriented
CNC Machine Operator
to join our manufacturing team. As a CNC Machine Operator, you will be responsible for operating and maintaining Computer Numerical Control (CNC) machines to produce high-precision metal or aluminum . The ideal candidate will have experience in machining, a strong attention to detail, and the ability to follow complex technical specifications.
Key Responsibilities :
Setup & Operation : Set up and operate CNC lathe machines, including spiral motor with a 3 axis (PUMA and DMG MORI), to produce parts according to job specifications. A Plus if you have knowledge using software CELOS
Machine Maintenance : Perform basic maintenance and troubleshooting on CNC equipment, ensuring optimal performance.
Safety Compliance : Adhere to all safety protocols, including wearing appropriate PPE and following OSHA guidelines to maintain a safe work environment.
Material Handling : Load and unload raw materials, such as metal or other materials, into the CNC machine.
Documentation : Maintain accurate production logs, quality records, and equipment maintenance reports.
Team Collaboration : Work closely with engineers, supervisors, and other operators to ensure smooth and efficient production flow.
Qualifications :
Experience : Minimum of 1 years of experience operating CNC machines (CNC lathe, or similar machinery) OPEN TO STUDENTS currently enrolled.
Technical Skills : Strong understanding of G-code, and machine setup. Experience with CAD / CAM software is a plus.
Education : High school diploma or equivalent required. Technical certification or degree in machining, manufacturing, or related field preferred or equivalent work experience
Attention to Detail : Exceptional focus on precision and accuracy in machining operations.
Problem-Solving : Ability to troubleshoot and resolve minor machine issues or production discrepancies.
Physical Requirements : Ability to lift [insert weight] pounds, stand for extended periods, and work in a manufacturing environment.
Preferred Qualifications :
Experience with multi-axis CNC machines.
Familiarity with different types of materials such as stainless steel and aluminum.
Knowledge of machine calibration and tool offsetting.
Strong communication and team-working skills.
Ability to read technical blueprints and schematics.
