Inventory Specialist, LogisticsThe Inventory Specialist is responsible for documenting and analyzing shipments and receipts at the terminal.
This position also compiles reports for submission to governmental agencies and industry organizations.
PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES :
- Manage inventory by recording shipments and receipts into various accounting systems on daily basis. Verify volumes and product codes.
- Upload completed information into the Excel spreadsheet and assist in reconciling daily terminal operations.
- Responsible for updating estimates to actuals based on outside third party documentation.
- Prepare periodic (weekly, monthly, quarterly and annual) governmental reports related to refinery activity.
- Organize and file all Inventory documentation.
- Various special projects and reports as necessary.
- Be able to identify and resolve problems and discrepancies relating to the daily / monthly refinery product movement information.
- Responsible for insuring the accuracy of all product codes, release numbers, and volumes.
JOB QUALIFICATIONS :
- High School diploma or GED required.
- Experience in refinery movements or clean products terminal inventory / scheduling is preferred.
- Ability to work well with all other department personnel.
- Ability to create and interpret spreadsheets, graphs, and word processing documents.
- Strong written and verbal communications skills.
- Must be highly motivated, well organized and detail oriented.
- Ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment.
