Job Description:
The primary function of the employing law firm is working with clients on estate planning. The right candidate must really enjoy writing and will spend most of the day preparing estate planning documents for appointments. The secondary function of the law firm is handling estate administration. If one is not familiar with estate administration, over time, the right individual will familiarize themselves with the processes to transfer assets in trust and the probate process. The candidate will review and prepare documents of estate administration matters, as needed.
Knowledge & Abilities:
Expertise in the drafting legal documents is required and experience in drafting estate documents is highly desirable. The successful candidate will possess strong, hands-on working knowledge of:
- Data entry into various Microsoft software packages.
- Drafting correspondence and legal documents such as wills and trusts.
- Organize and maintain documents in a paper or electronic filing system.
Education:
College graduate and/or administrative assistant school graduate; Paralegal degree would be a plus.

Experience:
- 2 years of hands-on paralegal /legal secretary experience.
- Strong MS Word s/w skills.

- Experience working in a small to mid-sized law firm would be a plus.

- Must be US work authorized.
- No billing requirements.
- Must be able to pass a background and drug screen check.
- No relocation available for position.
