Your Impact
As an HR Generalist, you will be at the heart of our people strategy, ensuring a top-tier employee experience while supporting the company's continued success. Your key responsibilities will include:
- Responsible for supporting full recruitment cycle from writing and placing job advertisements, sourcing, screening and interviewing applicants, extending offers, and conducting background checks.
- Enhancing the onboarding experience to ensure new hires feel welcomed, informed, and ready to succeed.
- Interpret human resources policies, and provide advice on human resources processes, procedures and issues to employees and managers.
- Resolve issues as appropriate and consult with and make recommendations to HR Manager/Chief People Officer to resolve more complex issues.
- Support the administration of the company’s benefits program. This includes supporting open enrollment, COBRA, and handle day to day inquiries from employees.
- Supporting leave programs, workers’ compensation, and disability claims while maintaining proper documentation.
- Ensure compliance with all applicable state and federal employment laws. Monitor and advise senior management of regulatory changes.
- Work on cross-functional teams to perform special HR-related projects (e.g., employee engagement, benefits, compensation, etc.).
- Develop and maintain reports for onboarding and terminations and provide insight to HR leadership.
- Delivering training to managers and employees on key HR processes, including performance appraisals, leave of absence policies, and organizational changes.
- Facilitate employee change process in HR systems for changes in employee job titles, salary changes, and organization changes.
- Bachelor’s degree in HR or related field required.
- 5 years HR experience, preferably in professional services environment.
- Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written.
- Demonstrated experience applying and interpreting human resources policies and procedures.
- Strong technology skills, including Microsoft Office suite (Outlook, Word, Excel, and PowerPoint). Must be skilled in human resource management systems and time/leave tracking systems. Experience with Workday would be very valuable.
- Maintain highly confidential and sensitive information.

- Experience supporting an architectural, engineering or construction firm strongly preferred.
