What are the responsibilities and job description for the Project Sales Representative position at PC Automated Controls, Inc?
Primary Function:
Redeem annual booking plan in assigned markets and territory at company approved pricing standards. Develop assigned key accounts.
Bookings:
- Close total annual weighted sales at a minimum of ten (10) times (x) annual salary after completing the initial sales training program
Sales Skills:
- Qualify prospects, make effective sales presentations, answer questions and objections in a proficient and responsible manner.
- Aggressively manage proposals to close sales.
Time Management:
- Plan and efficiently schedule appointments and manage personal time to ensure maximum productivity.
Surveys/Facility Assessment:
- Survey mechanical systems.
- Understand prospects needs and problems.
- Determine repair, modification and/or maintenance requirements to provide prospects with solutions to problems.
- Interpret drawings, equipment, and job conditions.
Engineering:
- Provide modification/repair/replacement recommendations and document these so the customer and the operations department understand what is required
Pricing:
- Estimate cost of proposed repair/modification/replacement and apply company pricing standards to the estimate
Account Expansion:
- Understand customer cost to own, operate, and maintain facilities mechanical system. Translate that
- understanding into proposals and sales that will enhance customers facility while reducing long-term owning and operating costs.
- Previous experience in sales, preferably in a similar role
- Proficient in Microsoft office applications and able to quickly learn and effectively utilize both company-specific and commercial software applications
- Possess strong interpersonal skills and the ability to build and maintain positive business relationships
- Valid drivers license and clean driving record
- Adhere to all company policies as listed in the employee handbook
