We are seeking an experienced Project Manager / Estimator with a strong background in Department of Transportation (DOT) projects . This role requires extensive knowledge of DOT regulations, bidding processes, and project execution . The ideal candidate will have the expertise to accurately estimate costs, manage project timelines and budgets, and ensure successful completion of multiple DOT-focused projects from start to finish.
Key Responsibilities :
- Estimate and bid DOT projects , ensuring compliance with all state and federal regulations.
- Analyze project plans, specifications, and documentation to prepare detailed, competitive cost estimates.
- Collaborate with subcontractors, vendors, and suppliers to obtain accurate pricing and delivery schedules.
- Prepare and present bid proposals , ensuring all costs are accounted for and competitive within the DOT framework.
- Conduct site visits and assessments to gather necessary data for accurate estimating.
- Maintain and update historical cost data and project records for DOT-related work.
- Monitor and track project costs, budgets, and schedules , ensuring adherence to deadlines and financial objectives.
- Oversee project execution , ensuring compliance with DOT standards, safety regulations, and quality control measures .
- Act as the primary point of contact for DOT agencies, inspectors, stakeholders, and project teams .
- Stay up to date with DOT specifications, industry trends, and best practices to enhance project efficiency and compliance.
