Job Summary:
PCC Sports, a leading construction company specializing in sports facilities, is seeking to add an Estimator to our team. The Estimator will be responsible for accurately estimating the costs and durations of sports-related construction projects, ensuring that all bids are competitive and profitable. You will work closely with project managers, architects, and subcontractors to gather relevant data and develop comprehensive cost estimates. The ideal candidate must possess a positive attitude, excellent communication, problem solving and analytical skills, as well as the ability to work independently or as part of a team
Responsibilities:
- Analyzing project plans, specifications, and other project documentation to prepare accurate quantity take-offs and cost estimates.
- Soliciting and analyzing subcontractor and supplier quotes.
- Evaluating project scope and identifying potential cost-saving opportunities.
- Preparing and presenting accurate and competitive estimates to management.
- Monitoring industry trends and local market conditions to ensure competitiveness.
· Develop and communicate good working relationships with co-workers, management, engineers, architects and other professionals on-site and in the office.
Qualifications and Experience:
· Bachelor’s degree in construction management, engineering or related field or equivalent experience a plus.
- Construction Estimating experience a plus.
- Proficiency in reading and interpreting blueprints and specifications.
- Proficiency in estimating software and tools (e.g. Bid2Win).
- Strong Analytical and mathematical skills with attention to detail.
- Excellent organizational and time management skills.
- Strong work ethic and team collaboration abilities.
- Effective communication, negotiation and interpersonal skills.
- Flexible and adaptable to changing situations and tight deadlines.
Physical and/or Travel Requirements:
- Typical office setting, mostly sitting at a desk. Frequent use of computer keyboard, monitor and telephone. Some standing, bending and lifting may be required, up to 20lbs.
- Early AM, after hour and weekend commitments may be necessary.
- Must have a clean driving record and ability to pass an annual motor vehicle record check.
- Must be able to successfully pass a pre-employment background check, motor vehicle record check and drug screen.
