Job Description
Title: Automotive / Lift Truck Technician
Reports to: Regional Shop Supervisor
Job Summary
Must assist Regional Shop Supervisor with all tasks relating to rolling stock and equipment in the region.
Summary of Essential Job Functions
SERVICE: Technician must examine automobiles, lift trucks, or other equipment and determine the damage or malfunction. Technician should be capable of proficiently planning repairs and maintenance using charts, technical manuals, and experience.
RECORD KEEPING: Technician must keep records of all repairs and maintenance performed and assist Regional Shop Supervisor in maintaining inventories of parts for repair.
MAINTENANCE: Technician must track and perform routine maintenance on all rolling stock and equipment as recommended either by the manufacturer or PCCA—Warehouse Division.
SAFETY, SANITATION, SECURITY: Maintain a clean, neat, and orderly work area. Assist in maintaining a safe and secure warehousing environment. Perform all operations in compliance with safety policies and procedures and apply good safety conscious conduct in all designated work environments. Comply with OSHA SDS standards.
TRAVEL: Travel to and from all Plants within the assigned region as needed. Travel to plants in other warehouse division regions could be required as needed for the comprehensive benefit of the Warehouse Division .
QUALIFICATIONS:
- Education(preferred)
- High School/GED Vocational School c. Associates Degree d. Bachelors
- Experience(the minimum level of direct experience in a similar position)
- None 1-6mo. c. 6-12mo. d. 1-5 yrs. e. >5 yrs
- Completion of Vocational School would satisfy experience minimum.
- Knowledge/Experience/Skills: Technician must have knowledge of automotive and lift truck electrical, fuel, hydraulic, pneumatic, lubrication and other systems as related. The Technician requires satisfactory completion of a counterbalance lift truck training course in compliance with OSHA Standards. Must have knowledge of basic shop procedures and the ability to perform them in a safe and efficient manner. Some metal fabrication is required for repairs and maintenance on equipment as needed.
- Technician must supply their own tools. Specialty tools may be supplied on an as needed basis and should be requested through the Regional Shop Supervisor.

Must possess a valid state driver's license or have the ability to obtain one prior to employment.
May be required to attend training school if needed. Any additional training not previously listed as a prerequisite for the position would be furnished by PCCA-Warehouse.
