As a Seasonal Golf Pro Shop Attendant , you will provide excellent customer service by greeting guests, managing tee times, and handling transactions through the POS system. You’ll maintain a clean, organized shop, manage inventory, and ensure merchandise is attractively displayed. You’ll also enforce golf course policies, assist with retail sales, and work closely with team members to ensure a positive and efficient guest experience.
Key Responsibilities :
- Guest Engagement : Create a welcoming environment by greeting guests warmly and assisting with their golf needs in a professional and friendly manner.
- Tee Time Management : Register guests for golf, accurately recording play records and tee times to ensure smooth operations and an organized flow of golfers.
- POS System Operation : Proficiently operate the Point of Sale (POS) system to handle transactions, ensuring accuracy and efficiency in processing payments.
- Communication : Answer telephone calls promptly, provide proper greetings, and manage tee time requests. Communicate effectively via radio to coordinate with other staff and ensure seamless guest service.
- Shop Maintenance : Maintain a clean and organized shop environment, ensuring merchandise displays are attractive, well-stocked, and properly arranged. Keep all areas of the shop visually appealing and operationally functional.
- Inventory Control : Monitor inventory levels and assist with stocking, reordering, and maintaining operating supplies like scorecards, pencils, and POS materials.
- Customer Service Excellence : Provide exceptional service, anticipating guest needs and ensuring a positive experience. Address any concerns or issues courteously and professionally, always striving to exceed guest expectations.
- Policy Enforcement : Respectfully enforce dress code and beverage policies, diplomatically addressing non-compliance when necessary, and escalating any serious issues to the Staff Professional or Director of Golf as needed.
- Sales & Merchandising : Collaborate with the Retail Coordinator to effectively display and promote merchandise, driving sales and guest engagement with featured items.
- Teamwork : Foster a positive and cooperative work environment by supporting colleagues and actively contributing to the team’s success.
