Key Responsibilities
- Operate and maintain inserting machinery, adhering to Standard Work Processes to meet quality and efficiency standards.
- Execute preventative maintenance routines and troubleshoot any issues with the inserting process as necessary.
- Collaborate with the Assistant Operator to ensure efficient processing of finished materials.
- Complete all required logs, documentation, and computer functions accurately.
- Monitor production workflows to maintain optimal efficiency and quality.
- Conduct inspections to verify adherence to quality control procedures and recognize the need for routine adjustments to prevent production rework.
- Ensure compliance with safety standards and maintain a clean work environment adhering to 5S principles.
- Engage with other departments, including pressroom and shipping, to facilitate seamless operations.
- Proficient in the operation of inserting machines, with experience in high-volume and high-speed environments preferred.
- Strong troubleshooting skills and ability to perform minor machine adjustments.
- Excellent attention to detail and quality analysis capabilities.
- Basic computer skills and an understanding of workflow processes.
- Strong communication skills and a collaborative team-oriented mindset.
- High School Diploma or G.E.D. required; vocational or technical school diploma is a plus.
- Prior experience in a similar mail facility is advantageous.
- Familiarity with Pitney Bowes and Bell and Howell inserting machines preferred.
- Must be able to read and write in English and understand job specifications.
