Position Summary:
As a Stamping Technician at Journalbooks, a division of PCNA, you’ll help create custom journals and planners by operating foil stamping machines. You’ll be responsible for running and maintaining equipment, checking for quality, and keeping up with production goals in a clean and safe work environment. This role is great for someone who likes hands-on work, pays attention to detail, and works well with others.
Key Responsibilities:
- Maintains understanding of the operating procedure in the department
- Operates decorating equipment and maintenance
- Performs quality production at reasonable speeds, taking full advantage of the equipment available
- Operates, maintains, and performs routine service on any equipment used in the completion of these tasks
- Performs routine setting adjustments on machines
- Ensures that targets are met for quality, productivity, throughput time and on-time delivery
- Adheres to safe work practice as indicated in the policy manual.
- Maintains a clean, safe and well-organized work area
- Other duties as assigned by Supervisor
Skills and Knowledge:
- Ability to handle multiple tasks and priorities
- Attention to detail
- Good organizational skills
- Must be able to work well independently or with others
Minimum Qualifications Required:
- High School or Equivalent
- Minimum of 1 year light industrial machine operation preferred
- Prior operation of CNC, silk screen print press, lathe, or fine adjustment machinery a plus
- INTERNAL CANDIDATES: minimum of 3 months experience as a Journalbooks Production Technician I
