Now Hiring 3rd Shift Quality Technicians in West Chester, Ohio!
Shifts: 3rd Shift, 10:00pm-6:30am, Monday-Saturday
Rate: $21.00-$23.00 (plus $2.50 shift differential)
Job Summary:
- Responsible for instructing/training: shift supervisors, extruder operators, configurator technicians and personnel in paper and pre-mold production about process & quality procedures/rules. Focusing on maintaining perfect quality production and highest possible output. Responsible for enforcing/verifying if quality checks are followed as described. Responsible for randomly checking conformity with issued Process & Quality procedures and their compliance in the production.
Essential Functions:
- Perform quality checks for all CDC manufacturing departments.
- Perform ongoing laboratory and physical tests of all film as required to applicable standards.
- Identify root causes of quality issues. Especially for products returned from customers.
- Maintain and keep records of all processes procedures and make those transparent to the available personnel.
- Set up and operate all lab equipment for performing all laboratory/physical test required.
- Maintain an inventory of all supplies needed for the lab and ensure housekeeping duties are performed in the work area.
- Follow all plant safety procedures in order to ensure personal safety and the safety of others.
- Understand all materials utilized in the manufacturing operation.
- Perform other duties and special projects as assigned.
Qualifications:
- Must be able to read a tape measurer and do fractions
- Vocational experience in production environment, preferably in plastics.
- Managerial and data processing experience, as well as an understanding of quality, mechanical and electrical equipment or data systems.
- Possesses the following skills; analytical skills, problem solver, excellent written/verbal skills, training skills, team-oriented, able to take responsibility.
- Must be proficient with Microsoft word, excel, etc.
- Must understand numbers and be able to read technical handouts.
- Ability to stand/walk for extended periods of time.
- Able to climb stairs and endure higher temperatures up to 90F for limited periods.
- Able to lift up to 35 lbs. without assistance.
