Job Overview
This position involves a range of design and drafting tasks as assigned. The ideal candidate will be proficient in CAD drafting using AutoCAD Civil 3D, with a working knowledge of ArcGIS being desirable.
To succeed in this role, it is essential to meet deadlines and demonstrate the ability to adapt to various projects and tasks assigned by managers and engineers.
Key Responsibilities:
- Civil Design: Planning, grading, and utilities
- Surveying-related drafting: Boundary surveys, Topographic surveys, Watershed and floodplain-related projects
- Land Development (Residential, Commercial, Industrial)
- Government entities: Municipal and educational organizations
Technical Skills:
The successful candidate will have experience in developing and preparing 2D and 3D drawings using CAD software, specifically AutoCAD Civil 3D.
Able to think creatively and visualize in terms of 3D, they will also create detailed schematics and layouts for construction and engineering projects.
Collaboration with engineers and project managers to understand project requirements and specifications is crucial, as well as performing revisions and updates to existing drawings based on feedback or changes in project scope.
Requirements:
- CAD related Associate's Degree (preferred), OR equivalent work experience as a CAD Drafter/Technician
- Proficiency with AutoCAD (version 2010 or higher)
- Experience with Autodesk Civil 3D
