POSITION PURPOSE
The Manager, Sales Compensation will be responsible for developing the sales compensation plan design, ensuring all plans are aligned with company objectives, and drive the desired behaviors that lead to strong company outcomes.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS AND BASIC DUTIES
- The Manager, Sales Compensation serves as the lead for incentive compensation, data quality assurance, and field performance measurement and reporting
- Responsible for developing the sales compensation plan design, ensuring all plans are aligned with company objectives and drive the desired behaviors that lead to strong company outcome
- Collaborate with internal stakeholders such as senior management and sales leaders to ensure a well-rounded view of the business and sales department
- Develop and maintain incentive compensation plan business rules
- Develop incentive compensation plan summary and communication materials
- Train field sales team on incentive compensation plan elements
- Develop and administer sales contests
- Maintain data governance standards, policies, and procedures
- Monitor data quality scorecards
- Create reports and dashboards
- Monitor data quality - accuracy, timeliness, and completeness
- Respond to ad hoc data inquiries from internal stakeholders
- Respond to field inquiries and investigations
- Trains field sales team on reports and business acumen regarding analytics
PERFORMANCE MEASUREMENTS
- Develop compensation plans that attract, motivate, and retain top talent
- Analyze the effectiveness of compensation plans to ensure that the company is paying for performance
- Support the sales team by addressing questions about incentive reports
- Provide training sessions for variable compensation plan participants
EDUCATION/CERTIFICATION
- BA/BS in quantitative major (finance, business, mathematics, statistics) preferred
REQUIRED KNOWLEDGE
- Advanced Microsoft Office skills with query tools (Power BI, Excel) against a database to analyze data quality and content
- Extensive knowledge of data modeling and data integration techniques
- Experience with CRM, especially Salesforce
EXPERIENCE REQUIRED
- 7-10 years of experience in sales incentive compensation design and development
- Significant experience with incentive compensation models
SKILLS/ABILITIES
- Strong analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills, including the ability to communicate effectively across all levels of the organization
- Experience in large, complex organizations with more than one sales division
- Challenges the status quo - always looking for ways to improve process or design effectiveness
- Strong ability to analyze a situation, evaluate options, and solve problems
- Advanced time management skills, including the ability to handle multiple projects with aggressive deadlines.
WORKING CONDITIONS

SALARY RANGE
- $135,000 - $145,000 annually

Salary : $135,000 - $145,000
